We love quiche for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or as leftovers the next day. We love how you can prep it ahead like our Make-Ahead Ham and Cheese Quiche recipe and how it can be eaten hot out of the oven or at room temperature later on.

Quiche is perfect for a quick meal on a work night and fancy enough for a bridal shower. We love how it is adult and kid friendly because of how you can add any meat and any vegetables to customize it (ever had Salmon Quiche using canned salmon? If not, try it!) It may be the perfect meal. We love making this zucchini quiche during the summer when our garden is pumping out the squash.

Cheeseburger Quiche Recipe

This Cheeseburger Quiche version is straight from a compilation of family favorite recipes. It is not our family recipe, but it is safe to say we will be adding it to our favorites list. The recipe comes from the Rihm family cookbook Barbara found while visiting our aunt and uncle recently. The Rihm family, who owns Rihm Foods in Cambridge City – our favorite place to buy bacon and pork burgers, pulled together all of their family favorite recipes, including Cheeseburger Quiche.

This recipe is incredibly easy and perfect if your kids love helping you in the kitchen. Let them pull out all of the ingredients for you, crack the eggs and mix everything together. Be sure you have a large mixing bowl on hand as it can get messy!

This hamburger quiche is more like a cheeseburger pie since includes the flavors of your favorite burger. Seasoned ground beef is the star of this particular quiche recipe.

Notes About Cheeseburger Pie:

  • This cheeseburger quiche recipe starts with a frozen pie crust; there’s no need to pre-cook it. Feel free to use a homemade pie crust if desired.
  • Season the ground beef generously with salt and black pepper while it browns.
  • Substitute dried minced onion for fresh onion, if desired.
  • Have a 1 pound package of ground beef? Go ahead and use it all in this hamburger quiche recipe. It will still be great. Or we reserve the remaining cooked ground beef for oven nachos or quesadillas later in the week!
  • Try adding a few fun ingredients like crispy bacon or chopped dill pickles to take this cheeseburger pie over the top. We add diced tomatoes in when we want to make it “fancy”.
  • No pie crust in the freezer, or maybe you’re watching the carbs? Omit the pie crust for a crustless cheeseburger quiche.
